GALVA – Richard B. “Dick” Clark, 88, of Galva, died at 12:18 p.m., Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Seminary Manor in Galesburg.
He was born December 11, 1936 in Ellenboro, WI, the son of Louis and Anna (Landon) Clark. He had married Doris Winters Walsh and later married Bonnie J. DeCrane on February 15, 1995 in Las Vegas, NV. Survivors include his wife of Galva, his two sons; Steve (Jenny) Clark of Waukee, IA and Brian (Shelly) Clark of Tiffin, IA, his siblings, Raymond Paul Clark of Victoria, Catherine Schiessl (Christine Graff) of Dubuque, IA and Lois Jean Melvin of Rockford, two grandchildren, Cameron (Ali) Clark and Isabella Clark, two great grandchildren, Maggie and Gabe Clark and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers; William, Patrick, Michael, Lee and Gene “O.D.”
Dick served his country in the U.S. Army from 1954-56. He worked for Midwest operating engineers and was a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Local 150 for over 60 years and holds a lifetime membership. He enjoyed traveling, remodeling and flipping homes and looking at vehicles, trucks and construction sites. He was a crafty and talented individual who enjoyed drinking coffee and visiting with his family and friends.
Cremation will be accorded and no services are planned at this time. Rux Funeral Home in Galva is assisting the family with arrangements.
