Robert Bridgeforth Obituary

KEWANEE – Robert C. Bridgeforth, 86, of Kewanee, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at his home.

Cremation will be accorded and a Celebration of his Life will be held at later date. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.

He was born March 26, 1935 in Oxly, MO, the son of Rex and Mary (Gamblin) Bridgeforth. He married Patricia VanDusen on August 14, 1953. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Pat Bridgeforth, his children; Sharon (Dan) Houchin of Wyoming, IL, Steve (Linda) Bridgeforth of Tool, TX, Vic of Kewanee and Matt (Carli) Bridgeforth of Ashmore, IL. Also surviving are his sisters Fannie Bridgeforth of Streator, IL, Fay Lingle of Minonk, IL Sadie Darm of Streator, IL and Elsie Kline of Dana, IL, thirteen beloved grandchildren and twenty-two beloved great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Brenda, his brothers; Ernest, Ray, Carl (Sonny) and Gib, his sister, Rose and his step-brother, Dean Davis.

He was a devoted Christian. He loved his family and was a wonderful husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He liked to hunt, fish, and play music. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
