KEWANEE – Robert Paul Hultman, 70, of Kewanee, died at 5:55 p.m., Thursday, January 23, 2020 at the Kewanee Care Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 28 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Linnea Gustafson will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Monday, January 27 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in rural Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the Henry County Humane Society.
He was born January 17, 1950 in Geneseo, the son of Jim and Agnes (Stahl) Hultman. He married Carol Fuller on July 8, 1977 in Kewanee. Survivors include his wife of Kewanee, a daughter, Jodi Pettitt of Kewanee, four brothers; Steven (Lynn) Hultman of Bettendorf, James “Jake” (Jill) Hultman of Geneseo, Bradley (Linda) Hultman of East Moline and Martin Hultman of Atkinson, two sisters, Barbara (Bruce) Erenberger of Bettendorf and Luanne Krueger of Woodhull, three sisters-in-law; Vicki Hultman of Atkinson, Marilyn Hultman of Geneseo and Beverly Hultman of Franklin, TN and his grandson, Justin Pettitt and his girlfriend, Hanna Holmes. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Philip “Dugan”, Roger and Dennis Hultman and a brother-in-law, Dick Krueger.
Robert graduated from Cambridge High School. He had worked as a fabricator at Kewanee Manufacturing for 10 years and then at Knaack Manufacturing until his retirement. He was of the Lutheran faith and was a member of the Kewanee Elks Lodge and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed bowling and taking care of his yard and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
