Robert "Bob" Gale

GALVA – Robert J. Gale, 77, of Galva, died at 12:11 p.m., Friday, January 31, 2025 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg.

He was born on October 25, 1947 in Kewanee, the son of Robert Dean and Helen I. (Sandquist) Gale. He married Rebecca G. “Becky” Ringle. Survivors include his wife of Galva, three sons; Kevin (Bryann) Gale and Kraig (Dawn) Gale, both of Galva and Kyle (Sheliah) Gale of Ankeny, IA, sister, Shirley Crisco of Galva and eight grandchildren; Kaylyn, Kinsley, Klaire, Josie, Nathan, Kalleigh, Grayson and Harlow. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bob graduated from Galva High School. He had farmed in the Galva area for many years. His true passion was farming and he enjoyed following his sons and grandchildren’s sporting events.

Cremation will be accorded and no services will be held. Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice. Rux Funeral Home in Galva is assisting the family with arrangements.
