Roger A. Sherbeyn

LAFAYETTE- Roger A. Sherbeyn, 63, of LaFayette, died at 9:36 a.m., Friday, November 19, 2021 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 24 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 23 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in rural Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the LaFayette Fire Department. Casual attire is recommended.

Roger was born June 28, 1958 in Galesburg, the son of Donald and Marie (Erdman) Sherbeyn. Survivors include his mother Marie, children Brittany Sherbeyn of Galva and Cody Sherbeyn of Moline, his brothers; Pat (Gail), Terry, Chris, Paul, Jeff, and Lee Sherbeyn, sisters Karen, Jill, and MaryJo, two step-daughters Amber and Tara, and his granddaughter Payton. He was preceded in death by his father, his first wife Roxanne, second wife Libby, and his uncle John.

Roger graduated from Toulon High School. He worked for Big River Resources in Galva where he was a material handler. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish and camp at Hook & Bullet. Roger also had a passion for riding Harley Davidsons and spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him.
