NEPONSET - Roger Dean Aman, 74, of Neponset, died at 2:00 a.m., Friday, May 25, 2023 in the emergency room at OSF Saint Luke Medical Center in Kewanee.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 31 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee with Pastor John Reside officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 30 at the funeral home with Masonic rites being held at 6:45 p.m. Burial will be at Osceola Grove Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by the Kewanee Veterans Council. Memorials may be directed to the Cambridge Masonic Lodge.
He was born December 23, 1948 in Kewanee, the son of Robert and Jennie (Kubish) Aman. He is survived by a son, Randy Aman of Ottumwa, IA, five grandchildren; Bradley, Kimberly, Drew, Robert II and Reis Aman, six great grandchildren, Carter and Liam Sanudo and Ronan, Aiden, Ava and Ryker Aman and two sisters, Sherry Clayes Camper of Port Byron, IL and Carolyn Aman of Moline. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Ronald.
Roger graduated from Kewanee High School in 1967. He served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He had worked for many years as a mechanic for the Ford garage in Wyoming. He had been a member of the Cambridge Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and his four- legged companion and forever dog, Nikki.
