Rosetta L. Byers

KEWANEE- Rosetta L. Byers, 90, of Kewanee, died at 3:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Kewanee Care Home.

Cremation has been accorded and memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 19 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee with Linnea Gustafson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Burial will be held at a later date at North Cemetery, Geneseo. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.

She was born July 10, 1930 in Moline, the daughter of Harold and Helen (Gustafson) Cochran. Survivors include her daughters Peggy, Christine, Marsha, and Kelly, a sister, Kathy Higgens, her grandchildren Ted, Peggy Jr., Andrew, Glenda, Kendra, Jess, Emily, and Toby, and also several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Pat and Joy, a brother Carl, three sons Kenneth, Michael, and Randy, and a grandson David.

Rosetta attended school in Geneseo. She had worked as a clerk at the library at Augustana College. Rosetta loved to travel all over the country and spend time with her family.  She was of the Lutheran faith and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
