Obituary
KEWANEE – Sandra Mae “Sandy” Feeney, 77, of Kewanee, died at 8:50 p.m., Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at her home.
Cremation will be accorded and private graveside services will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in rural Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the family. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.
She was born March 9, 1944 in Kewanee, the daughter of Robert and Hazel (Klavohn) Schrey. She married Donald R. Feeney on September 5, 1969 in East Peoria and he preceded her in death on January 12, 2005. Survivors include her mother, Hazel Schrey, her two sons, Joe (Lisa) Feeney of Kewanee and Daryl (Gloria) Clayton of Texas, two daughters, RaeLynne Neirynck and Norene Doss, both of Kewanee, two sisters, Christine (Bill) Clague of Kewanee and Deloris (Bud) Peek of Davenport and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her father and twins in infancy.
Sandra attended Wethersfield schools. She had worked as a CNA for Peterson Healthcare and had been a CNA for over 50 years. She was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed camping at Allendale Conservation Club, crocheting, knitting and especially celebrating the holidays with family and friends.
