Sandra R. "Sandy" Minks, 78, of Kewanee, died at 10:45 p.m., Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Manor Court of Peru in Peru, IL.

She was born on July 24, 1947 in Kewanee, the daughter of William E. and Gwendolyn D. (Francis) Minks. Survivors include her brother, William (Penny) Minks of Galva, her two sisters, Carolyn (Tom) Tracy and Billie Ann Good, both of Kewanee, several nieces and nephews and her canine friend, Lexi. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Joanne Bumphrey.

Following her retirement seven years ago she moved back to Kewanee. Sandy had a fun and adventurous spirit and was true to her Indian name, “Quick Wit.” She loved taking road trips and taking pictures along the way, especially to Colorado where she thoroughly enjoyed the mountains. She loved horses and enjoyed horseback riding and enjoyed hiking, white water rafting, bicycling and painting.
