Scott Alan Swanson

CAMBRIDGE - Scott Alan Swanson, 66, of Cambridge, died at 2:16 p.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2025 in the emergency room at Hammond-Henry Hospital in Geneseo.

A private committal service will be held at Galva Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice. Rux Funeral Home in Galva is assisting the family with arrangements.

He was born on November 22, 1958, in Kewanee, the son of Charles Vail and Joan (Halsall) Swanson. He is survived by a sister, Teri Hamilton of Cambridge, a brother, Randy Swanson, two nieces, Ryan Hamilton and Dana Hamilton, two nephews, Brent Swanson and James Swanson, a sister-in-law who was thought of more like a sister, Linda Swanson and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Rick.

Scott attended Galva Schools. He worked for Timberlyn Lighting in Geneseo and also for Tyson Foods in Joslin.
