Stephen W. Horn

GALESBURG – Stephen W. Horn, 80, of Galesburg, died at 12:06 a.m., Sunday, August 24, 2025 at Allure of Knox County in Galesburg.

He was born on February 27, 1945 in Avon, the son of Jack and Martha (Swanson) Horn. He married Wendy D. Wetterow on November 6, 1971 in Galva and she preceded him in death on June 7, 1995. Survivors include his two sisters and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Carol Lynn Horn.

Stephen served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked as a manager for various foundries in the area. He was a member of the Galva Lions Club and was an avid Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed golfing and he especially enjoyed spending time with his nephew.

Cremation will be accorded and graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 4 at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Altona. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established. Rux Funeral Home in Galva is assisting the family with arrangements.
