Susan E. Colgan

KEWANEE – Susan E. Colgan, 60, of Kewanee, died at 5:32 p.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at her home.

Cremation will be accorded and graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 14 at Wethersfield Cemetery with Deacon Martin VanMeltebeck officiating. Memorials may be directed to the Henry County Humane Society. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.

She was born November 11, 1960 in Kewanee, the daughter of Milton L. and Mary F. (Huber) Carlson. Survivors include her mother of Kewanee and her daughter, Katherine (Joey) Martinez of Panama City, FL. She was preceded in death by her father.

Susan graduated from Wethersfield High School in 1978 and attended college in San Antonio, TX. She was a teacher having taught preschool and kindergarten at Wethersfield School. She had a passion for teaching children and loved animals.
