Susan "Sue" J. Aldred

NEPONSET – Susan J. “Sue” (White) Aldred, 67, of Neponset, passed away at 2:45 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, April 13, 2026, at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Private inurnment will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery in Kewanee. In honor of Sue, please consider donating to the Henry County Humane Society-Kewanee Chapter.

She was born on September 8, 1958, in Kewanee, the daughter of Duane L. “Butch” and Barbara “Jody” (Hunter) White. Surviving Sue is her son, Mason (Jennifer) Aldred of Kewanee and their children, Amanda (Cody) Connolly and Dade Aldred and her brothers, Rick (Lu) White and Scott White, both of Kewanee. Also surviving is her significant other, Linda Stetson of Neponset. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Sue graduated from Kewanee High School in 1976 and worked for over 40 years as a cosmetology instructor in Sterling. Sue was incredibly proud of her career and the students that she had the opportunity to teach. Some of her favorite hobbies included crafting, genealogy and most importantly, family time. Sue served the village of Neponset by serving on their board.

She will be missed by all who knew her.
