Suzanne "Sue" Bell

Suzanne R. (Armstrong) Bell joined husband Duane in heaven on December 13, 2024, patiently waiting 189 days to again, be forever by his side.

Born July 1, 1938 she was the daughter of Burton and Dorothy (Whiles) Armstrong of Cambridge, IL. She had two sisters-her best friends; Donna (Jerry) Smith of Galva and Sharron Cheek, of Galesburg and many cousins who stayed close over the years, and she appreciated their friendship and childhood memories.

Sue met Duane at Galva High School and after graduation they were married on November 17, 1957 at the Methodist Church in Bishop Hill and loving Galva they made that their home

Their family started with four sons; Steve (Susan) of Galva, Richard (Jane Doss) of Fort Myers, FL, our deeply missed, Ron (Georgia) of Galesburg, and Chris (Tricia) of Broken Arrow, OK and the family grew adding 10 grandchildren:  Becca, Dan, Remington, Wendy, Kerry, Tracy, Ce Ce, Chloe, Molly and Jonah and an additional 10 healthy great grandchildren.

Sue loved decorating, baking, and getting ready for holidays or get-togethers.

A visitation will be held in her honor from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., Saturday December 21 at the Rux Funeral Home in Galva. Memorials may be directed to the Messiah Lutheran Church.

A coffee luncheon will be held at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Galva afterwards.
