GALVA – Tracy Lynn Warner Brooks, 65, of Galva, died Sunday, September 22, 2024 at her home.
She was born April 15, 1959 in Kewanee, the daughter of Marvin and Bonnie (Fredeen) Warner. She had been married to Mike Wexell and later married Robert Brooks on November 2, 2016 in Kewanee. Survivors include her husband of Galva, her three sons; Jared (Stephanie) Wexell of Geneseo, Ian (Leslie) Wexell of Chicago and Kyle (Lindsey) Wexell of Holland, MI, two step-children, Robert (Sabrina) Brooks of Indianapolis, IN and Tom Brooks and his fiancée Hannah Hawkins of Galva, her brother, Matt (Laura) Warner of Sherrard, IL and sister, Sandra (Mark) Doumas of Tucson, AZ, her grandchildren; Jayden, Peyton, Grayson, Jocelyn, Addison, Noah, Ethan and Boston and thirteen step-grandchildren; William, Alexis, Taylor, Andrew, Jakob, Jayson, Robert, Caroline, Kristen, Loki, Freyja, Skadi and Odhinn. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Robin Ringberg, nephew, Shawn Ringberg and stepson, James Brooks.
Tracy graduated from Galva High School in 1977 and Illinois Wesleyan University. She was a certified public accountant owning and operating Tracy Warner CPA. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Galva. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, sudoku puzzles, and starting all kinds of new projects around her home. She cherished her family and was extremely proud of her boys and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 30 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva with Rev. Rebecca Gearhart officiating. A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home. The burial will be in Galva Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
