Tyanda Nichole Thomas

KEWANEE – Tyanda Nichole Thomas, 30, of Kewanee, died Monday, March 13, 2023 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 18 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee with Pastor Stephen McGough officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to an educational fund for her niece, Gianna.

She was born February 23, 1993 in Kewanee, the daughter of Norman and Kari (Euchaski) Thomas. Survivors include her mother and father, her grandmother, Kay Euchaski of Kewanee, four brothers; Andrew Demont of Davenport, Anthony Britt of Kewanee, Jordan Morey of Annawan and Nick Thomas of Kewanee, two sisters, Kayla Thomas (Thomas Freeburg) of Kewanee and Samantha Shaw of Ripley, TN and her niece, Gianna Freeburg. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Larry Euchaski, paternal grandparents, Charles and Marva Thomas, great grandparents, Edward Euchaski and Irene Euchaski Bridgewater, maternal great grandparents, Raymond and Mary Morrissey and cousin, Lawrence Wesley Phillips.

Tyanda graduated from Kewanee High School in 2012, from Black Hawk East and Western Illinois University and obtained her master’s degree from the University of Illinois. She was currently a social worker for UnityPoint Health. Tyanda enjoyed bowling and playing tennis and loved attending the Encounter Church in Kewanee. Most of all she enjoyed her family and their time together.
