PEORIA - Tyson Stevens Howard, 46, of Peoria, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025 at his home.
A private graveside service will be held at Williamsfield Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Williamsfield American Legion or to the Williamsfield United Methodist Church. Rux Funeral Home in Williamsfield is assisting the family with arrangements.
Tyson was born on January 16, 1979 in Galesburg, the son of Ronald and Dee Ann (Stevens) Howard. He is survived by his mother, Dee Ann Stevens of Peoria, a sister, Laura (Kyle) Sauter of Peoria, a nephew, Kaiden, a niece, Kenley and his aunt, Rhonda (Mike) Rinnella of Dunlap. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Howard and his grandparents, Calvin and Beverly Howard and Dan and Marjorie Stevens.
He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1997 where he played basketball for the Silver Streaks. He then attended Carl Sandburg Community College and Illinois State College, graduating in 2002. He worked at Jim’s Bistro in Peoria Heights. He enjoyed following college sports, especially basketball and enjoyed music and dancing. He was a big kid at heart and could light up a room with his infectious laugh, making his presence known and felt. A gentleman to the core, he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
