Victoria A VanWynsberge Maas

KEWANEE- Victoria A. VanWynsberge Maas, 87, of Kewanee, died peacefully at 7:50 p.m, on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Kewanee Care, surrounded by her family.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 10 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Pastor Michael Ritchason will officiate. There will be no visitation. Burial will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Children’s Miracle Network.

She was born in Kewanee on January 10, 1934, the daughter of John and Victoria (Sadlowski) Grudzinski. She had married Robert VanWynsberge and they later divorced. She is survived by two daughters, Dawn (Kevin) Charlet and Pam (Keith) Lindstrom, both of Kewanee, six grandchildren, Lisa (Dan) Forman, Jenny (Bill) Pelton, Hilary (DJ) Frank, Austin (Christen) Charlet, Jeremy (Amanda) Lindstrom and Amber (Shaun) Ebner, seven great grandchildren, Alex, Izzy, Addy, Olivia, Savannah, Landon and Carter and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Joe, Charlie and John Grudzinski, three sisters, Nellie DeFauw, Stacy Erickson and Helen Elgin, a nephew, Joey Grudzinski and two nieces, Carolyn Sylvia and Marilyn Digdo.

Victoria had graduated from Kewanee High School in 1952. She had worked at Hardee’s and at Kewanee Manufacturing. She had been a member of the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and had attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, both in Kewanee. She enjoyed baking, doing crafts and watching golf and Lawrence Welk on TV. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
