She was born August 28, 1948 in Durango, Durango, Mexico, the daughter of Justina Segovia de Rosales. She married Noe Ernesto Mayorga in 1982 in Cd. Juarez, Chia, Mexico and they moved to Kewanee in 1990. Victoria is survived by her husband, her daughter, Veronica Delgado Mayorga, her grandchildren, Nathalie Guereca (Franklin Bejarano) and Jose Guereca and a great-grandchild, Vianey Mayorga Washington. She was preceded in death by her mother and her daughter, Lucy Guereca.
Victoria loved to cook and was always ready to greet her guests with open arms and a good hot plate. Her family was her center of attention. Those who knew her closely called her “Vicky”. She was a strong woman and was always ready to lend a hand to those in need. Vicky was the true definition of a “Mexican Grandmother”. She will be deeply missed by those who knew her.
“Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people both now and forevermore. The scepter of the wicked will not remain over the land allotted to the righteous, for then the righteous might use their hands to do evil. LORD, do good to those who are good, to those who are upright in heart. But those who turn to crooked ways the LORD will banish with the evildoers. Peace be on Israel.” (Psalm 125)
