Willard Dean Youngberg Obituary

Willard Dean Youngberg, 87, of Rimrock, AZ, formerly of Galva, IL, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2020 in Flagstaff, AZ.

This Renaissance man was the first son born to Allegra, a teacher, and Ivon, a farmer in Galva, IL in 1933. Dean's brother, Garth, was born 5 years later.

At Galva High School, Dean developed his love of sports - baseball, track, and basketball. He added golf, travelling, and western dancing.

After college at Western Illinois University and 2 years in the Army, he taught junior high for 34 years in the Osborn District.

Dean's life was full of happiness and love for his wife, Jackie, of 36 years, and his children: Mike (Tina), Teresa (Lee), Doug (Lori), Kathleen (Fred), and Katarina (Keith). Grandkids Matthew, Lauren, Kayce, Shawn, Jena, Jakob, and Adele complete the family picture.

A memorial celebration of Dean's life will take place in Flagstaff, AZ at a later date.
