GALVA – William D. Craig, 77, of Galva, died Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Courtyard Estates of Galva.
He was born June 4, 1947 in Kewanee, the son of Ralph and Pauline (DeWolfe) Craig. He married Nancy Plummer on May 15, 1976 in Galva and she preceded him in death on February 25, 2015. Survivors include his son, Chris (Kelly) Craig of Galva, his daughter, Carrie (Monte) Lowderman of Macomb, a brother, Ron (Diana) Craig of Galva, three grandsons; Branden (Chantele) Craig, Ryan (Allie) Craig and Rhett Lowderman and four great grandchildren; Charlotte, Victoria, Henry and George. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
William served his county in the National Guard. He worked as a meat processor for Bob Evans Farms in Galva for 33 years and had also raised dairy cows. He was a founding member of the Galva/Tri-County Pullers Club and enjoyed old tractors, gardening and following NASCAR.
Private graveside services will be held at Galva Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Galva/Tri-County Pullers Club. Rux Funeral Home in Galva is assisting the family with arrangements.
