William H. Gordon

KEWANEE – William H. Gordon, 71, of Kewanee, died Saturday, August 19, 2023 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 26 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee with Tyrone Baker officiating. Visitation will be accorded one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following the services. Memorials may be directed to his family for a memorial to be established.

He was born August 31, 1951 in Brownsville, TN, the son of Roy William and Fannie (Taylor) Gordon. Survivors include his son, Brandy Gordon of Kewanee, his four daughters; Pamela Quick (Maxwell Brady) of East Moline, Patricia Quick of Washington State, Detra Quick of Moline and Fannie Quick of Rock Island, two brothers, Eugene Taylor of Davenport and Calvin Taylor of Kewanee, his sister, Vera Branch of Moline, fifteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his significant other, Toni Quick, two brothers, Willie and Kenneth and a sister, Dorothy Fouse.

William had worked in construction for 30 years. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan who enjoyed doing lawn care, gardening, fishing, traveling, watching Western movies and his dog, Maxie. He especially enjoyed his family and time spent with them.
