William "Billy" Self

TOULON – William “Billy” Self, 40, of Toulon, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020.

Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 26 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to his family for a memorial to be established.

He was born June 1, 1980 in Kewanee, the son of William P. Self and Dorothy Jean Crain. He was employed at Great Dane for 10 years.

Survivors include his companion Lacey Abbot (Uber Driver), four children Jonathan Hallman of Kewanee, Haven Self and William Self (aka Liam) and Jeremy Self of Toulon, He included Catie Griffin as his adopted daughter of Kewanee IL. He has two sisters, Rebecca Self and April Self of Kewanee. He also has two sisters-in-law; Luanne Thurston and Lynette Richardson of Kewanee, one brother, Christopher Crain and wife, Amie Crain of Seguin, TX, a brother-in-law, Kevin Quanstrom of Kewanee, and his nieces and nephews, Kari Richardson, Larry Richardson, William Crain, Branon Kerg, Damie-ann Kerg (Sissy), Timmy Cantwell, Phillip Cantwell, Christopher Richardson, Ryan Self, Orion Crain, and Rebecca Crain. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Lori Ann Quanstrom, his mother Dorothy, his cousin and best friend, Larry Self, grandmother, Glenna Boker, his aunt Beaulah Dobbles and best friends, Jeremy Berchtold and Bruce Ainly.

He loved being with his family and interacting with people, he especially enjoyed camping, mudding, fishing, riding four wheelers, and drinking beer and fireball with his friends and family.
