William E. "Bill" Frank

KEWANEE – William E. “Bill” Frank, 92, of Kewanee, died at 4:26 a.m., Sunday, June 10, 2018 at the Kewanee Care Home.

Cremation will be accorded, and a memorial graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, June 18 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in rural Kewanee where military rites will be accorded by the Kewanee Veterans Council. Pastor Stephen McGough will officiate. Memorials may be directed to the Kewanee Veterans Council. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.

He was born May 14, 1926 in Canton, IL, the son of Ellsworth and Faye (Snell) Frank. Survivors include his two sisters, Carole Miller and Marie Purdy, both of Kewanee and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Patricia Wilson, a niece, Patsy Miller and a nephew, Stephen Miller.

Bill graduated from Kewanee High School in 1945 and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He had worked as a boilermaker at Kewanee Boiler for 35 years. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church which is now Encounter Church. He enjoyed music and celebrating Christmas and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family and nieces and nephews.
