Bernadine E. Conè

KEWANEE – Bernadine E. Conè, 98, of Kewanee, died at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 15, 2016 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 20 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Rev. Dr. William R. Toliver will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Henry County Humane Society.

She was born August 23, 1917 in Kewanee, the daughter of Herman and Elizabeth (Schneider) Neumann. She married Leo Francis Conè on July 10, 1937 in Mt. Carroll, IL and he preceded her in death on January 29, 1996. Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Thorson of Kewanee, two grandsons, Ronald G. Nanninga of Kewanee and David A. Nanninga of Galva and two nieces, Carol Kendall and Phyllis Smith, both of Kewanee. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Bernadine was a homemaker and along with her husband had farmed outside Kewanee for many years.
