Big Sister, Marge, was our babysitter for years and years. That is how we came to know Ed. What a lovely man. Marge would recall all the stories of their childhood....of course the most important one... the tiny new born, who slept in a clothes basket by a warm stove(I hope I remember that right)...who grew up to be her dear brother. I have special memories of Ed. When his family was young, they made a couple trips to N.D. to visit Patty's sisters and families. Then later, when I was married and in Bismarck, N.D., he and Patty stopped by while going on some of their camping trips. My family made a couple trips to IL., giving me a chance to be in their home and community. So even though we were far apart in miles, I was privileged to know his caring ways, enjoy and appreciate him. And he kept in contact in later years. Such a dear and honorable man!
