Jack, Anne, John and Doris and Roberta, Please accept my sympathy to all of you and your families I will forever remember Mary and Jack and Anne and John. I moved to North Carolina in 1982. I wish I could have been there for the funeral. As a nurse myself I know she suffered but I know she always kept her sense of humor. We were always considered twins when I was growing up. May the Lord comfort you all. I loved Mary so much. Every time I saw her there was a big smile and hug. She was my mom's BFF as they grew up in Galva together. She now has the angel wings she always desurved. God bless you all and love you all.

Jack, Anne & John, I could take a part out of each of these postings and put it into one glowing remembrance and it would all be true. I remember Mom telling me that they went to Jack and Mary's wedding a week after I was born. (I was in St. Francis) What I remember about her was that she knitted Anne and I matching ski sweaters when we were five years old. I still have mine in great condition. I remember you all coming over for dinner after Mom went mushroom hunting, Jack offered to bring steaks and Mom told him nope we're only having Morrel mushrooms as she found two paper grocery bags full! I remember being invited to Anne's birthday parties. I remember riding in the car with Mary and Anne and Mary stated that she thinks knee socks and shorts look great together. I was thinking you have a cool Mom. I remember you all would come over fair week for Dad's birthday. Mary helped Dad pick out gorgeous wall paper for my bedroom and theirs. I remember her holding a bridal shower for me. I remember the dessert. I remember Jack, Mary and Anne were host and hostesses at our wedding reception. I remember someone telling me that Galva is very lucky to have Mary Hathaway. I remember going dress shopping with her for a niece or nephew's wedding. Mom and I wanted the dress that showed off her tiny waist.. She didn't. I will always remember she had the gift of gab and always said t he right thing and was smiling. I remember thinking she loves her sisters very much. She was very proud of all three of you and loved you so much. I will truly miss her. Much love to all of you.

Anne and family, while I did not know your Mother, I am sorry for your loss. It's never easy to lose a loved one but know they are always watching over. Remembering all the good times and the coffees downtown before we would both go off to work.
The bridge clubs, our trip to Ronnie's inaugural, our mornings pouring over all the catalogs and our WISH LISTS. Those were the days and Mary said the other day when I visited at Courtyard Estates how happy she was to see me again and it was like OLD TIMES.
