To the Family of Willie Mae Hodge,
Our prayers and heartfelt sympathy go out to the families. I have know the Hodge family since the early 60's when they lived on Dewey and Junior Ave. We had such good time together at Bethel Church Of God In Christ under the leadership of Elder W. C. Walker and Christ Deliverance Pentecostal Church under the leadership of Elder Ardail Allen Sr. Even when they relocated to Dewey Ave. & Acorn Street we remained friends with the family. Willie Mae always had a loving smile and showed great hospitality. A loving and caring person. She will be missed. We will continue to hold up the families in prayer.
The Mitchell Family. James L., Priscilla A., David A., Winnie M., Gloria G. and most of all my loving Mother, Florence L. Mitchell.

My boys was very lucky to have grown up with your grandkids, Our family was very lucky to have been your neighbor and your kids neighbor on West Division from 1992 till about 2010. We had good times and never had to worry about our kids, the whole neighborhood would look out for everyone's kids. Always knew where Grandma's house was. I said my goodbyes tonight just want you to know you looked very beautiful and peaceful as always. My heart goes out to all of your Family. Fly High my lovely Willie Mae. Love all of the Verkruyse's

I will always remember Mamma Willie . She was a wonderful woman, full of love, happiness and had a most beautiful heart. She reminds me so much of my own Grandmother, Lorna DeBeir, never meeting a stranger, and regardless of what she went through, she remained strong. That is how I will remember her until the time comes that I can give the younger, healthy, resurrected Willie a hug again in the New World. Please know she is in Jehovah's memory, and soon we will be able to see that smile again.

Most Sincerely,

April Cassell (DeBeir)

It saddens me today to see the passing of such a sweet lady. Always a smile and a nice little hello when I would see her. Know that my thoughts are with the family. Some of you I have known for some time now. The heavens are getting a wonderful new angel.
